The contractors license bond is required by the State of Oregon to protect consumers that are receiving services from contractors providing services in Oregon. If the contractor does not comply with the conditions of contractor license law, a claim can be filed against their bond with the surety company.
What size bond should I get?
The size of the Oregon contractor’s license bond you will need to purchase depends on your license endorsement or classification (residential or commercial contractor) and personal credit report.
